Our fantastic team at Total Fitness Preston are celebrating after being named Gym of the Year by the Lancashire Post.

The competition saw 54 gyms in the area pitted against each other before a shortlist of ten was announced in March.

Our members were asked what it was that gave Total Fitness the edge, what lifted it above its rivals and provided the service they wanted.

The winning gym would be decided on the basis of having friendly, professional staff, quality equipment, various classes, flexible hours, an accessible location and affordable prices – we ticked every box!

Garran St Vall, General Manager of Total Fitness Preston, said: “This is an incredible accolade for our club and I’m so proud of my team – without them, this wouldn’t have happened. Special credit must go to Faz Sadri, our fitness manager, as he made it his mission to shout about our facilities and win the competition for Total Fitness.

“We have a member base of over 5,000 and we pride ourselves on offering every single person the best fitness experience in the local area. To be named Gym of the Year is fantastic recognition of this.”

Total Fitness Preston offers extensive fitness facilities to its members, with two floors of gym equipment, three pools plus sauna and steam room, a class timetable with more than 70 sessions a week, plus the only 200m indoor running track in the city.

The gym prides itself on its extensive family offering – it has partnered with Becky Adlington Swim Stars and Water Babies, to offer the highest standard swimming lessons for newborns upwards, plus Beth Tweddle Gym Stars is also available for young children.

Total Fitness’ exclusive brand of Hasha Karate classes is also set to launch at the club in May, with sessions available for the whole family to get fitter and stronger together.
